Q: Do you accept insurance?

A: Yes! We are in network with: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, The Empire Plan (NYSHIP), Oxford Freedom Plan, United Healthcare. However, not all insurances will cover nutrition sessions for your specific condition. If we decide to work together, there will be out-of-pocket expenses, even if your insurance is accepted. If you'd like to check your member benefits, you can ask member services if procedure codes 97802 and 97803 are covered under the diagnosis of z71.3.

 

Q: Do you have evening hours?

A: Yes! We typically have evening hours. If you decide to work with me, we will also stay in communication via messaging through a HIPAA private web portal as well as video/phone visits, on Tuesday evenings.

 

Q: What conditions and diseases do you help people with?

A: I help people who have:

  • All digestive conditions, such as acid reflux, heartburn, excessive gas and burping, stomach pain, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, IBS, and celiac disease
  • Inflammatory conditions such as autoimmune diseases, muscle and joint pain, and skin issues

Q: Do you help people lose weight?

A: If your main concern is weight loss, I am not the right practitioner for you. Because I help people greatly decrease inflammation in their body, loss of excess weight may be a side effect.

 

Q: Do you recommend supplements?

A: Sometimes. My approach is “food first”. Heck, it’s possible some of your supplements are contributing to your problems! If needed, I will make recommendations for specific supplements. I can also help you choose safe brands of supplements.

 

Q: Where is your office?

A: In Huntington, NY, and thanks to video conferences and phone calls, we can conduct appointments from anywhere!
